Just northwest of Illawarra and south of Picton is Trainworks, one of the biggest train and rail experiences in the southern hemisphere!

As well as a large range of Steam Engines, Carriages and Rolling Stock from the 1800s and 1900s, Trainworks also run regular events including Thomas the Tank Engine Days, Steam Train Rides, Vintage Train Days, Santa's Steam Train and more.

With real steam or diesel train rides (on selected days), a fun playground, large picnic area, bbq's & cafe and a chance to explore and learn more about steam trains and more, Trainworks is the perfect weekday or weekend activity and destination for the kids and family.

Trainworks is open 7 days a week.
Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm
Saturday and Sunday 9am - 5pm
